Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok
Today you will board your flight to Bangkok where you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing and taking in the sights of Bangkok and evening enjoy a local Thai cuisine.
Day 2: Bangkok
Today you will start your day with a tour around Thailand’s capital city by watching the monks chant at Wat Po, the glistening Grand Palace and relax with a delicious lunch before your afternoon adventures. In the afternoon head to a Cham Muslim village whose artisans used to weave for Jim Thompson and see how his legacy lives on.
Day 3: Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Bangkok
Today head out of the city of Bangkok for the day to the ancient city of Ayutthaya and take a cruise on an elegantly restored rice barge, visiting local villages and take time to really conjure up the sheer thrill of the temple ruins. Overnight will be spent back in Bangkok for a relaxing evening.
Day 4: Bangkok (B,L)
Today you will visit Samut Songkram province where you will discover an amazing country market along the railway tracks as well as one of the many floating markets of Thailand. Here take a fascinating boat ride through the maze of canals stopping along the way to visit Buddhist temples and meet local Thia people before arriving at Rama 11 park with its Thai style pavilion Museum.

Day 5: Bangkok – Chiang Rai
Today you will fly to Chiang Rai where you take a drive to the golden triangle area in the far north of Thailand to your hotel on the Mekong River with views across Laos and Burma. Here you will stop for a tour of Chiang Rai where a local pedal- powered rickshaw will take you through town, to the intriguing Hill Tribe Museum and to several revered temples. Overnight will be spent in the Golden Triangle.
Day 6: Chiang Rai (B,L)
Today spend a day in the jungle travelling by elephant, boat and ox-cart through bamboo forest, woodlands, rice paddies and farmland. Discover a remote Akha hill tribe village on the top of Doi Sa Ngo Mountain with stunning views of the Mekong River. There will also be the opportunity to visit the old capital of Chiang Saen on the steep banks of Mekong River before returning to your resort.
Day 7: Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai
Today we will drive through the mountains of Chiang Mai where you will pass through lush greenery until you arrive at the royal palace and gardens at Doi Tung stopping to visit some of the lesser visited tribal communities. Overnight will be spent in Chiang Mai
Day 8: Chiang Mai (B)
Discover local lanna culture and local lifestyles by visiting a local farmhouse, where you will be able to cruise the waters of the Mae Pang River and enjoy a bowl of traditional noodles. Later in the afternoon you will take a trip up the mountains to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in Northern Thailand where you will be able to witness the late evening chants of the resident monks. Overnight will be spent in Chiang Mai.

Day 9: Chiang Mai
Spend this morning relaxing at your hotel or alternatively take a n optional sightseeing tour before transferring to your direct flight to Phuket. On arrival in Phuket you will be met by one of our local team and transferred to your hotel.
Day 10 - 13: Phuket (B)
Relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful beaches and unrivalled charms of Phuket. During your stay, you will take a guided tour of the islands interior to discover the unique history of the town. An elegant dinner cruise to a secluded beach is a perfect end to your holiday as you cruise through tranquil waters under the star-lit sky with a cocktail in hand!
Today you will end your holiday with a transfer back to your airport for your departure flight back home.
