Tour description:
Ba Be Lake National Park, 270 km north of Hanoi, is an incredibly beautiful area boasting waterfalls, rivers, deep valleys, lakes and caves set amid towering peaks. The area is inhabited by members of the Zao, H’mong and Tay minorities. For the Vietnamese people the place has been full of magic and mystery for over 1,500 years and the mystical lake has been the source of legend and folklore ever since people first settled in this area.

Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Ba Be
With an early departure from Hanoi, you will head north towards Ba Be Lake driving 270 km which will take approximately seven hours taking you through the flatlands of the Red River Delta and up into the mountain areas north of Hanoi. As we progress north, the scenery becomes more and more picturesque, where we will eventually stop at our scheduled lunch stop two and a-half-hours away from our destination. Arriving in Ba Be town by mid afternoon you will check into your guest house and then head out for some exploration before the sun sets.Day 2: Ba Be Lake
After breakfasting at your guesthouse, take a short drive to the jetty where you will board your private boat for a cruise on the lake. Weather permitting, take a swim in crystal clear waters before having lunch. Following lunch you will board the boat to the Tay village of Pac Ngoi. A visit to this small hamlet will enable you to witness how little the lives of the people in these remote areas have changed. You will be guests of the Tay people for the night.

Day 3: Ba Be Lake - Hanoi
This morning you will commence your return journey to Hanoi. En route make a stop at the interesting Thay Nguyen Ethnology Museum. Arrival back into Hanoi will be approximately mid afternoon.
