Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok, meet your guide, and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon go on a guided tour of Bangkok’s most famous highlights and a long-tail boat cruise through the canals.

Day 2: Bangkok – Khao Yai National Park
Depart Bangkok by road to Khao Yai National Park where you will visit a beautiful waterfall for a swim – you may even be lucky enough to spot wild elephants that live here! The National Park features cliffs towering 1270m above sea level, providing magnificent views over Khao Yai. After dinner go on a night safari with the Park Rangers.

Day 3: Khao Yai – Korat
Rise early and follow jungle trails for an easy three hour hike and catch the early morning hustle & bustle of macaques, playful antics of gibbons, and several subspecies of rare hornbills. Return 1000 years to the superbly restored Khmer Temples of Phnom Rung and its sister temple Muang Tham. On the way into Korat town stop at a pottery making village and try your hand at ‘throwing’ a pot.

Day 4: Korat– Khmer Temples– Bangkok
After breakfast visit Ban Prasat archaeological excavation site and one of the most famous Khmer ruins in Thailand at Phi Mai. Drive back to Bangkok after lunch and enjoy the evening exploring the city on your own.

Day 5: Bangkok – Kanchanburi – Khao LaemLake Houseboat
Drive to Kanchanburi and the infamous ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’. After lunch continue to a lake-side village to board a traditional-style Thai houseboat. Spend the afternoon swimming, relaxing on deck or napping in a hammock as the houseboat slowly cruises the lake. In the evening enjoy a delicious Thai dinner.

Day 6: Waterfall and Coconut Island
After a hearty Western breakfast, go kayaking to the end of a small bay (or by motorboat). Take a short hike through the jungle to a waterfall for a swim and play (please note that there is no water in the waterfall from March-May), then head towards Coconut Island, one of few inhabited islands in this area. After exploring the island return to the houseboat to relax and swim, then in the afternoon cruise to beautiful spot to anchor for the night.

Day 7: Caves, Elephants and Rafting
After breakfast go on a short kayak adventure into some small caves, then return to the houseboat and head north. In the afternoon a long-tail boat will take you along a narrow river to a tribal village to embark on a jungle elephant trek, followed by rafting downstream. Dinner is onboard the houseboat under a starry night sky.

Day 8: Khoa Laem– Hua Hin Beach
This morning enjoy swimming, fishing and sunbathing. Mid morning say goodbye to the houseboat and transfer by motorboat to the village of Wang Kha, home to a number of ethnic minorities. Explore a picturesque temple and wander through a Burmese market selling crafts and jewelry. Continue to Sangklaburi via Thailand’s longest wooden bridge, where a vehicle is waiting to transfer you to Hua Hin for a relaxing beach break.
